RA Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan expressed his opinion that the final version of the peace agreement will not be signed by the end of the year. Instead, he did not rule out another meeting with Azerbaijan. "A meeting is not planned at the moment, but we will have another meeting before the end of the year. We are active and constructive in these negotiations. I am not sure that we will be able to have a more or less final version of the contract by the end of the year, although we had previously announced it. It was a declaration of intent, which is, in effect, to achieve peace and a comprehensive settlement as soon as possible. If we don't make it by the end of the year, the negotiations will continue."
Azerbaijan refused to meet with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on December 7, arguing that they were against the presence of the French president there. Mirzoyan recalled that the Pashinyan-Aliev-Michel-Macron quadrilateral meeting was held in Prague in October, and an agreement was reached for the next meeting, "I suppose that if 4 people agree on the next meeting, it should be obvious that the next the meeting is about the meeting of the same 4 people. After that, Azerbaijan refuses to participate in the new meeting in this format. This is a destructive step. But there is no new arrangement for the leaders' meeting at the moment."
