The EU observation mission will end on December 19-20. RA is interested in the extension (VIDEO)
RA Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan stated, "The Republic of Armenia is interested in the monitoring mission of international structures on the Armenia-Azerbaijan border. We have appealed to various organizations on this matter."
Speaking about the duration of the EU observation mission, he noted that it would end on December 19-20; "I welcome the readiness of the EU member states to continue the mission and maintain the presence on the RA-Azerbaijan border." According to Mirzoyan, there are no doubts about the mission's neutrality, and the mission's evaluations are essential for other international processes. According to him, the presence of observers is of preventive importance in further aggravating the situation. He noted that RA welcomes the extension of the EU mission.
