Nikol Pashinyan commented on why RA refused to accept the aid offered by CSTO (VIDEO)
RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan referred to the CSTO Yerevan summit, commenting on why RA did not accept the proposed military-technical assistance.
He noted that RA had two expectations from that summit, "Fixing what is the area of responsibility of the CSTO in RA because this is a fundamental issue for organizing proper relations." The second expectation was to give a clear political assessment of what happened."
The Prime Minister clarified that RA was offered assistance, including military-technical service, "First of all, it is not clear what kind of help is offered. Second, acceptance of this aid without these clear assessments will mean an indirect and even direct acceptance of the status quo established within our borders. Accepting a monitoring mission from the CSTO without a clear political assessment will mean simply fixing and putting up with the status quo."
