The Egyptian ambassador expressed her willingness to support the establishment of peace in the South Caucasus

The newly appointed Ambassador of Egypt to Armenia, Serenade Soliman Gamil, presented her credentials to the President of the Republic of Armenia, Vahagn Khachaturian. Congratulating the newly appointed ambassador, President Khachaturyan wishes efficient work and success.

"Egypt has been of great importance in our history and still has it now, and it is binding for us to maintain and develop our relations," the president emphasized, stressing that the expected visit of the Egyptian president to Armenia next year will be the best stimulus for cooperation.

Expressing her gratitude for the reception, Ambassador Serenade Soliman Gamil noted that it is a great honor for her to represent the Republic of Egypt in Armenia and to contribute to the development of the centuries-old Armenian-Egyptian relations.

During the meeting, the newly appointed ambassador thanked President Khachaturian for his participation in the 27th Conference of Parties to the UN Climate Change Convention in Sharm El Sheikh in November.

During the conversation, the President of the Republic referred to the current Armenian-Azerbaijani contacts and the opportunities and obstacles to achieving peace in the region and emphasized the importance of presenting the objective reality regarding regional developments to the representatives of partner countries.

Referring to the possibilities of cooperation on international platforms, the newly appointed ambassador expressed her willingness to support the establishment of peace in the South Caucasus as much as possible.
