New Zealand's newly appointed ambassador to Armenia presented his credentials to the president.

The newly appointed ambassador of New Zealand to Armenia, Sarah Mary Walsh (residence: Moscow), presented her credentials to the President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan.

President Khachaturyan congratulated the ambassador on his appointment and expressed hope that this appointment would contribute to developing mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries.

"I sincerely hope that thanks to your effective activity, you will make a great contribution to the strengthening of friendly relations between the two countries and the development of mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields," the president noted.

Ambassador Sarah Mary Walsh, thanking for the reception, noted that during her diplomatic mission, she would try as much as possible to promote the development of mutually beneficial economic interaction and increase political dialogue.

In her speech, the newly appointed ambassador emphasized that there is an Armenian community in New Zealand, which, even though small, has its role in the country's life.

During the meeting, the areas and possibilities of Armenian-New Zealand cooperation were discussed. In his speech, President Vahagn Khachaturyan emphasized that regardless of geographical distance, Armenia and New Zealand can cooperate in high technologies, science, information security, technologically advanced agriculture, and other fields.

In her speech, Ambassador Walsh mentioned the importance of fighting disinformation in the modern world and presenting the truth about regional realities.

During the conversation, the President of the Republic referred to the current level of Armenian-Turkish and Armenian-Azerbaijani contacts and reaffirmed that Armenia is committed to establishing friendly relations with neighboring countries and achieving stable and lasting peace.
