Paruyr Hovhannisyan reaffirmed Armenia's interest in developing relations with Ecuador in both bilateral and multilateral formats.
In his speech, the newly appointed ambassador of Ecuador stated that he would invest his efforts in developing the relations between the two countries.
The interlocutors emphasized that this year Armenia and Ecuador celebrate the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, which is an excellent opportunity to discuss the prospects for the development of bilateral relations, among others, about the strengthening of bilateral political and economic ties, the development of cooperation in international organizations.
The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs presented to the ambassador the situation caused by the Azerbaijani aggression unleashed on the sovereign territory of Armenia on September 13-14 and referred to the humanitarian problems caused by the 44-day war and Azerbaijani aggressions. The Armenian side's current developments and positions regarding the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict were presented.
