Ararat Mirzoyan welcomed the Canadian government's decision to open an embassy in Yerevan

On November 25, RA Minister of Foreign Affairs Ararat Mirzoyan received Canadian Ambassador to RA Alison LeClair (residence: Moscow).

The parties emphasized further developing Armenian-Canadian relations based on shared democratic values ​​and mutual trust. In this context, the RA Foreign Minister welcomed the Canadian government's decision to open an embassy in Yerevan. He believed this step would give a new impetus to bilateral cooperation.

Considering that this year marks the 30th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Armenia and Canada, the interlocutors noted with satisfaction the current level of political dialogue and the dynamics of interstate contacts.

The readiness of the Canadian government to support the strengthening of democracy in Armenia was noted. Ararat Mirzoyan and Alison LeClair emphasized the expansion of Armenian-Canadian trade and economic ties.

The Armenian side presented the consequences of the latest Azerbaijani aggression against the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Republic of Armenia. Minister Mirzoyan emphasized that Azerbaijan is hindering the establishment of peace and stability in the region with its fanatical position and aggressive actions.
