RA does not put forward the issue of status but of ensuring the security and rights of Nagorno-Karabakh Armenians.

RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan referred to the Nagorno-Karabakh problem. According to him, the acceptance of the Russian position is why RA is not putting forward the issue of status but of ensuring the security and rights of Nagorno-Karabakh Armenians.

According to Pashinyan, "The number one party of that conversation should be the participant of that conversation; we are talking about Nagorno-Karabakh Armenians. We hope, and there is an understanding among the international community, that there should be an internationally visible conversation between the representatives of Nagorno-Karabakh and Azerbaijan, which should be about the rights and security of the Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh. We agree to separate the RA-Azerbaijan relations from addressing the rights and security issues of Nagorno-Karabakh Armenians. Still, it does not mean we have decided to remove that issue from the agenda. If we solve this problem, RA is ready to sign a framework agreement on peace with Azerbaijan based on mutual recognition of territorial integrity and sovereignty."
