The President of the Republic, Vahagn Khachaturyan, received the delegation of special envoys of the EU and EU member states on Eastern Partnership issues.
The President welcomed the delegation's visit to Armenia and highlighted the continuous and multifaceted development of the Armenia-EU partnership.
President Khachaturyan noted that Armenia consistently implements the country's obligations under the Eastern Partnership program, which aim to ensure our citizens' well-being, fight corruption, increase the efficiency of administration, protect human rights, and implement reforms in various social and health sectors.
During the meeting, the President of the Republic presented to the EU delegates the regional realities, processes, and security issues, referred to the Azerbaijani aggression against the sovereign territory of Armenia on September 13, 2022, and highlighted the presence of the OSCE needs assessment mission in Armenia.
In his speech, President Vahagn Khachaturyan emphasized that Armenia's principal position is establishing peace in the region and neighborly relations with its neighbors.
During the conversation, ideas were exchanged regarding the border demarcation and demarcation process between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the importance of regional security, and the current stage of the Armenian-Turkish dialogue.
