The RA MFA stated that on November 11, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, who is on a working visit to France, met with French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna.
Ararat Mirzoyan and Catherine Colonna noted with satisfaction the high level of unique Armenian-French relations based on the friendship and shared values of the two peoples. The interlocutors discussed issues related to the rich cooperation agenda between Armenia and France.
Ararat Mirzoyan presented to the interlocutor the latest developments related to the development of the peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the position of the Armenian side on the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh problem, the border delimitation process between Armenia and Azerbaijan, and the unblocking of transport infrastructures in the region. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia emphasized that Azerbaijan's extremist approaches and bellicose rhetoric undermine the region's efforts to establish security and stability.
Ararat Mirzoyan expressed his gratitude to Catherine Colonna for the moral position of the French side regarding the elimination of the consequences of the Azerbaijani aggression against the sovereign territory of RA on September 13-14. At the same time, France's role as the co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group in promoting the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict was highly appreciated.
The statement adopted as a result of the quadrilateral meeting held in Prague on October 6 was highlighted by both sides. Issues related to the activities of the EU observation mission in Armenia and the OSCE needs assessment mission were also discussed at the meeting.
