They discussed the security situation created on the borders of Armenia

On November 3, Deputy Foreign Minister Paruyr Hovhannisyan received members of the European Parliament in Armenia, former Council of Europe Vice President Fabio Massimo Castaldo, and Lars Patrick Berg.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the security situation created in the South Caucasus region, the borders of Armenia, and the importance of deploying the EU observation mission in that context.

The deputy minister presented in detail the situation in Nagorno Karabakh, the case created by the Azerbaijani armed forces' invasion of the sovereign territory of Armenia, and the problems related to the Armenian prisoners of war.

Paruyr Hovhannisyan highly appreciated the moral position of the European Parliament in matters of primary importance for the Armenian side, which is reflected in the relevant resolutions and reports.

Several issues of the RA-EU partnership agenda were discussed, including the prospects of deepening inter-parliamentary cooperation.
