The newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of North Macedonia to the Republic of Armenia, Krum Efremov (residence: Kyiv), presented his credentials to the President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturian.
The President of the Republic congratulated the ambassador and expressed hope that Ambassador Efremov, as the first ambassador of North Macedonia in our country, will significantly contribute to strengthening the existing friendly relations and realizing the real potential of bilateral interaction during his tenure.
President Khachaturyan noted that although Armenia and North Macedonia have a short history of diplomatic relations, the peoples of both countries know each other very well, have many commonalities and a similar account, and have gone through difficult trials. "Our official relations will enable us to make maximum use of the opportunities of both states," the president noted.
Referring to the possible directions of cooperation, President Khachaturyan singled out the fields of high technologies, tourism, and business, noting that joint work can create opportunities for discovering new laws of overlapping interests.
The ambassador of North Macedonia assured that he would do everything possible to develop further ties during his activities.
At the meeting, efforts to establish regional stability and long-term peace were emphasized on both sides, and it was noted that the resolution of the problem could be reached through negotiations and diplomatic solutions.
