In his speech, Suren Papikyan, Chairman of the "Civil Contract" Party Board, Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia, spoke about the party's construction work, presenting achievements and gaps.
According to Papikyan, the party-building work suffered due to covid and the 44-day war. "We have twice set the task of starting the screening and filtering of candidates to become KP members. Why filtering? Because tens of thousands of citizens applied to become party members in the post-revolutionary period. In February 2019, at the fourth conference of the party, a decision was made not to hurry, to consider the problem carefully, and sometimes also to delay, to understand who our real ideologues, real party friends are."
According to Papikyan, in June 2019, at the party's 5th conference, the number of party members was 2,500. "Today, as a result of the active and consistent work of the last period of our department, new friends have joined our ranks; at the moment, that number is 5390."
He noted that the critical message of governing and leading the country is placed on the shoulders of the KP administration, "I think that our colleagues have enough wisdom to make the right choice when they are in the voting booth."
He thanked the party members for their joint work, stressing that it was a great honor for him to lead the party.
He noted that as the chairman of the party board, he is the main person responsible for the board.
