Nikol Pashinyan presented the essential provisions of the November 9 document (VIDEO)

RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan referred to the document of November 9, 2020.

According to him, that paper was evaluated by some forces as a capitulation. "Now those same forces are defending the statement of November 9, saying that the achievements in that document cannot be lost. And those who accused us of signing a capitulation on November 9, 2020, now say that I will sign a capitulation soon. This is nonsense in general because history has never seen the same government or the same country sign 2 or 3 capitulations. In other words, if the November 9 document is a capitulation, then that's it; there is no possibility of signing a capitulation anymore. If there is a possibility to sign a capitulation, then the document of November 9 was not a capitulation."

Pashinyan emphasized that the document of November 9 is important: "The existence of Nagorno-Karabakh, the existence of the Nagorno-Karabakh Line of Contact, the deployment of Peacekeepers, the existence of the Lachin Corridor as a means of communication with Armenia, the de-blockade agenda, the rights of refugees are recorded there."

Pashinyan assured that just as their mission in the previous period was to establish democracy in RA, their task in the upcoming period should be to ensure peace around RA.

He said that to establish peace, it is necessary to implement all provisions of the tripartite declaration of November 9, 2020, all conditions of the order of January 11, 2021, and finally, bring the Nagorno-Karabakh problem to a particular milestone.

According to him, point 9 of the tripartite statement is about unblocking, "This means that all communications in the region should be opened." According to Pashinyan, there is no question of providing passage through the territory of Armenia. He also criticized the practices of Azerbaijan, the process of fulfilling obligations, adding that when it comes to implementation issues, it turns out that Azerbaijan has additional ideas. "There is a provision that RA should ensure the connection between the western regions of Azerbaijan and Nakhichevan, and when the parties agree, new roads should be built. We are ready to ensure communication; Azerbaijan is not saying we do not want that option."
