Ararat Mirzoyan and Toivo Klaar addressed regional security issues

On October 28, RA Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan received Toivo Klaar, the EU's special representative for the crisis in South Caucasus and Georgia.

During the meeting, the interlocutors touched on the problems of regional security and stability. They exchanged ideas on issues related to the development of the peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan and the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

Ararat Mirzoyan and Toivo Klaar emphasized the deployment of the EU civilian mission in Armenia and referred to the mission's activities.

The parties also exchanged views on the unblocking of regional transport infrastructure and the work of the border security and demarcation commissions.

Ararat Mirzoyan reaffirmed the need to eliminate the consequences of Azerbaijan's recent aggression against the sovereign territory of Armenia, particularly the withdrawal of Azerbaijani armed forces from the sovereign territories of Armenia.
