"Partners, I would also like to mention our moral position on the issues of border delimitation and unblocking of transport communications with Azerbaijan. We have repeatedly stated that we seek to establish relations in the region based on partnership.
And we believe that border demarcation and further demarcation works should be based on the fundamental documents of the CIS, according to which the former administrative borders of the Soviet republics have become state borders between already independent countries, including Armenia and Azerbaijan.
Armenia is ready to open the existing ones and build new communications by the national legislation of the countries through which they pass."
RA NA Speaker Alen Simonyan announced this at the plenary session of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of the CIS States.
Simonyan also added. "Azerbaijan always talks about a corridor, which is not mentioned in the tripartite statement of November 9. The word "corridor" is mentioned exclusively in the statement on the Lachin Corridor in the context of ensuring the security of Nagorno-Karabakh and has nothing to do with unblocking transport links. We consider all parallels to these agreements to be manipulation."
