The guarantee of the security of Artsakh's future is Russia's mediation in signing the peace agreement. Samvel Karapetyan
Russian-Armenian businessman Samvel Karapetyan made a statement about the disturbing trends in Armenian-Russian relations.
"It is impossible to ignore the dangerous impulses and trends gaining momentum in Armenia in recent months. Today, various forces are openly pushing Armenia to renounce Russia and take the step of historical self-destruction. It is crucial right now to prevent the adoption of such decisions, which may inevitably lead to severe consequences for both Artsakh and Armenia.
In this regard, as before, the only guarantee of the future security of Artsakh and the peaceful life of its inhabitants in this difficult historical period is Russia's mediation in signing a peace agreement. The authorities of Armenia should show a balanced approach that will provide solid security guarantees and prevent the loss of Artsakh.
It should also not be taken into account that today the Russian Federation is Armenia's most significant economic partner, Russian peacekeepers are the guarantor of Artsakh's security, and our countries are united by the centuries-old partnership and cultural and spiritual ties. That is why now, more than ever, it is vital to make the right choice and preserve Armenian Artsakh for the world," the statement said.
