Ararat Mirzoyan presented to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malta the humanitarian situation created due to Azerbaijani aggressions

On October 25, in Rome, RA Minister of Foreign Affairs Ararat Mirzoyan met with the Grand Chancellor of the Sovereign Covenant of Malta (Foreign Minister), Ricardo Paterno Di Montecupo.

The interlocutors emphasized that the bilateral relations between Armenia and the Sovereign Covenant of Malta are based on long-standing historical ties and shared Christian values, expressing readiness to deepen the established cooperation in various fields further.

The Foreign Minister and the Grand Chancellor discussed the programs implemented by the Covenant in the fields of humanitarian assistance and healthcare in Armenia and the further deepening of cooperation in these fields. The interlocutors also touched upon the issues of the preservation of cultural heritage and the possibilities of joint steps in this direction.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged ideas on issues of the regional plan. Minister Mirzoyan presented the position of the Armenian side regarding the Armenia-Azerbaijan relations settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

Referring to the humanitarian situation created as a result of Azerbaijani aggression against the territorial integrity of the Republic of Armenia, Ararat Mirzoyan emphasized the need for the Azerbaijani armed forces to immediately leave the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia and maintain the ceasefire regime. Referring to the war crimes committed by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, the Foreign Minister highlighted the international community's response. At the same time, the importance of preserving the Armenian historical, cultural and spiritual heritage in the territories passed under Azerbaijani control was noted.
