Today, October 18, the President of the Republic of Armenia, Vahagn Khachaturyan, who is in the Republic of Bulgaria on a state visit, met with the Mayor of Sofia, Yordanka Fandakova.
President Khachaturyan noted that being the bearers of rich cultural heritage, Armenia and Bulgaria have actively cooperated, especially in preserving and restoring cultural heritage during the past 30 years.
At the meeting, the parties discussed the exchange of experience within the framework of bilateral cooperation, the activation of cooperation in transport and communication, and the RA-EU Comprehensive and Extended Partnership Agreement, including the directions of sustainable development and "green" transition.
The mayor of Sofia happily announced that the consecration ceremony of the Armenian Church of the Holy Mother of God in Sofia is planned for the near future.
President Khachaturyan also noted in the book of honored guests of Sofia Municipality.
