Ararat Mirzoyan countered Cavusoglu's statement about "Zangezur Corridor"
RA Minister of Foreign Affairs Ararat Mirzoyan referred to the statement of the Turkish counterpart about the "Zangezur Corridor."
According to Mirzoyan, Azerbaijan or the representatives of Azerbaijan do not propose to have a road that will have the same regulations as the Lachin Corridor. "If Mr. Çavuşoğlu introduces this component in the negotiations, it would be good if he spoke on his behalf. I repeat, Azerbaijan does not say such a thing and cannot rightfully claim such a thing."
He says, "We have expressed our position regarding the new canal between Azerbaijan and Nakhijan; it has not been changed, and all roads should be operational, including the existing ones and those that are supposed to be built. They will act under the sovereignty and legislation of the countries in whose territory they pass.
It should be noted that Çavuşoğlu announced that the status of the Zangezur Corridor should be equivalent to the Lachin Corridor.
