Unfortunately, due to the 44-day war, the Republic of Armenia no longer has the opportunity and resources to ensure the rights and freedoms of the people of Artsakh, including security. Eduard Aghajanyan, the chairman of the RA NA Foreign Relations Committee, said this on factor.am.
"You are aware that perhaps the most important point of the agreement of November 9, the tripartite declaration, is the expansion of the activities of the Russian peacekeeping mission in the area where our compatriots from Artsakh continue to live, and perhaps we think that in this matter we should rely on the international community tools, and let's do our best to bring to the international community the dire, existential problems that our compatriots are dealing with in Artsakh," said Aghajanyan.
According to him, RA's position has not changed in any way from the point of view of all the rights of the people of Artsakh. The objective realities and the reality that appropriate conclusions should be drawn has unfortunately changed. According to Aghajanyan, we should adopt appropriate strategies and tactics. Accordingly, it should also be noted that to realize security and provide all other possible rights; there is only the resource of the international community's positions and pressures. Still, unfortunately, RA does not have any resources: military, economic, or political.
"Our positions should be harmonized as much as possible with the positions of the international community, which are related to the people of Artsakh and the events taking place around Artsakh," said Eduard Aghajanyan.
