On October 7, consultations between the foreign political departments of the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Kazakhstan took place in Yerevan. Deputy Foreign Minister Mnatsakan Safaryan represented the Armenian delegation; Deputy Foreign Minister Yermukhambet Konuspaev represented the Kazakh delegation.
During the consultations, many issues on the agenda of bilateral relations and cooperation on multilateral platforms in the Eurasian region were discussed.
Reference was also made to regional security and urgent issues of the international agenda. In this context, Mnatsakan Safaryan presented the situation created due to Azerbaijan's recent large-scale aggression against the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia, emphasizing the inadmissibility of the policy adopted by Azerbaijan to achieve its idealistic aspirations by threatening to use force.
