After a break of 13 years, on October 6, the meeting of the leaders of Armenia and Turkey took place in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic. And so, in October 1995, the first president of RA, Levon Ter-Petrosyan, met with the president of Turkey, Suleiman Demirel, during the jubilee gathering dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the United Nations. It should be noted that Ter-Petrosyan had another meeting with Demirel in 1993, but at that time, he was the Prime Minister of Turkey. In April 1993, Ter-Petrosyan went to Turkey with a delegation to participate in the funeral ceremony of President Turgut Ozal.
