Bagrat Asatryan, a former member of the Supreme Council, spoke about the economic crisis of the 1990s and the efforts to overcome it. According to him, the ANM government did not try to publicize its actions.
He states, "The Armenian National Movement has never tried to do PR, and there was no way to do it. There was an approach that the important thing is the work, then time will put everything in place. During our government, there was never an attempt to present the appearance as a reality, to present the unformed as a fact. Even successes are not always present."
