We see particular possibilities of easing the tension. Nikol Pashinyan

RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has stated that the situation around Armenia remains permanently tense. During the NA-Government question-and-answer session, he noted. "We see certain possibilities of easing the tension. In that sense, we also see an opportunity based on the content of the negotiation process."

Pashinyan noted about the high-level meetings and telephone conversations held in recent days. "Those conversations are not simple and easy conversations, but according to our analysis and my assessment, the discussions and diplomatic work of the last period have opened a certain space to move forward."

He noted that he is satisfied with the international response to the September 13. "But we are comfortable now, and we must continue the work so that the global position is consistent. The entire international community is providing an accurate assessment and an approximate road map project on how we should solve this problem and how we should overcome the situation.

He presented the directions that created an opportunity to move forward in the negotiations. "I also spoke during my last interview about the concept of mutual recognition of each other's territorial integrity by the Republic of Armenia and Azerbaijan based on the agreement of December 8, 1991, and there are signs that this support and this approach can be mutually acceptable to the parties."

According to Pashinyan, the next direction is the "start of dialogue" between Artsakh and Azerbaijan. "Next, I think there is a certain space for a conversation between Nagorno-Karabakh and Azerbaijan to take place and start. I consider these two directions to be of cornerstone importance."
