Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan sent a congratulatory message on the occasion of Teacher's Day. In particular, it is said:

"Dear teachers,

I congratulate you all and congratulate all of us on Teacher's Day. This year, we welcome your professional day with the recorded reality of the state's new attitude towards the teacher's job.

The new system of voluntary certification of teachers and the category system's reforms prove that the government recognizes the cornerstone nature of the teacher's work with congratulatory messages and a concrete case.

If the state wants to establish itself, it must first select the school and strengthen the teacher, who is the pillar of the school, and we are doing that. As I said at one of the last meetings of the government, the work of a teacher should become one of the highest paid, at least in the state system. And a teacher should mean not only a high salary earner but also a highly qualified one.

The new system provides such an opportunity, but this is only the beginning. This teacher salary increase system, in which the teacher himself makes the decisions, should work continuously and regularly in five-year cycles. From the second cycle, the teacher's salary provided by the rate and category should reach the ministerial level salary.

And we are not doing this for you; we are doing this for the state, for the future, because by and large, you and your work decide how many scientists will leave school, how many doctors, how many detectives, how many soldiers, how many builders, how many artist and what kind of spiritual and value connection will they have with their profession and their state, the Republic of Armenia?

We must take special care of our rural teachers, so they do not feel far away.

We have completed the design works in the field of general education. Our plans for voluntary certification, a new category system, state standards of preschool education and public education, school construction, reconstruction, major repair, and creation of community educational complexes have been released, and the school upgrading has started.

I love all of you, am proud of you, and bow to all of you."
