President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan visited the Vardenis community of the Gegharkunik region. The president met with administrative heads of local self-government bodies in Vardenis municipality hall. Gegharkunik Region Governor Karen Sargsyan, Vardenis Community Mayor Aharon Khachatryan, and representatives of power structures were present at the meeting.
During the meeting, Gegharkunik Region Governor Karen Sargsyan presented to the President the consequences of the shelling of the Vardenis community during the aggression against Armenia's territorial integrity and sovereignty by the armed forces of Azerbaijan and the measures implemented by the government and regional authorities to eliminate them.
President Vahagn Khachaturyan offered to present more detailed information about the primary problems and expressed his willingness to support their solution within the limits of his powers and capabilities.
Within the framework of the working visit, the president also met with the training camp participants and conscript service members in the Gegharkunik region, got acquainted with the conditions of the exercises, and talked with the service members in an unpretentious atmosphere.
