Mkhitar Zakaryan resigns his parliamentary mandate

Mkhitar Zakaryan, deputy of the "Hayastan" faction of the National Assembly and member of the board of the "Reviving Armenia" party, has announced that he will resign his parliamentary mandate.

"Armenia and Artsakh are facing serious challenges today. We all know the problems related to the security, status, and protection of the rights of Artsakh Armenians. At the same time, Armenia's safety is also at risk. The armed forces of the enemy continue to remain in our sovereign territory. The problems are numerous, from the direct threat of power to the politicization of humanitarian issues. All of these need an urgent solution to solve them effectively, and finally, each of us must be in his place.

As a deputy of the RA NA "Hayastan" faction, I have decided to stop my parliamentary activity with the determination to serve my motherland more efficiently. At the same time, I want to announce that I will continue my political training in the ranks of the "Reviving Armenia" party, doing the best I can to help solve the problems we face.

I wish success to all my colleagues who carry out their mission in the parliament. As I already mentioned, to have a natural result, each of us must be in his position and do what he can most effectively."
