French MPs expressed their support for the peace process

President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan received the delegation headed by Gilbert-Luc Devinaz, head of the France-Armenia friendship group of the French Senate.

President Khachaturyan highly appreciated France's statements regarding the Azerbaijani attack on the sovereign territory of Armenia during the 44-day war, in the post-war period, and on September 13, as well as France's active efforts to initiate a session of the UN Security Council during the days of Azerbaijani aggression.

The head of the France-Armenia friendship group, Gilbert-Luc Devinaz, thanked for the reception and noted that France will continue to stand by Armenia and always expresses its support for the peace process.

At the request of the members of the delegation, the president presented the consequences of Azerbaijan's aggression towards the sovereign territory of Armenia, the targeting of civil infrastructures. In this context, Vahagn Khachaturyan emphasized the importance of a quick and adequate reaction from the international community.

The members of the France-Armenia friendship group emphasized the plans to ensure stability and peace in the region and expand relations in different directions. They noted with satisfaction that even in the difficult situation created after the war, Armenia continues to adhere to the fundamental principles of democracy.
