Robert Kocharyan is against consolidation

Second President Robert Kocharyan referred to the statement of RA First President Levon Ter-Petrosyan, in which he considered the establishment of national unity and the establishment of a constructive dialogue between the government and the opposition as the central issue of the day.

According to Kocharyan: "What thoughts are being voiced now: let's unite to make a difficult decision. Consolidation is carried out to push the people to victory; capitulation does not require consolidation; capitulation requires deconsolidation."

According to him, capitulation causes a feeling of powerlessness. "It sounds like a thesis: let's unite around the government. Let me explain more deeply. To solve the problem, you must first diagnose it and neutralize it. Now they tell us to unite around the problem. What is our goal, to save Armenia or the problem of Armenia? There is a tumor to remove, which is an absolute truth, not in medicine only. There should be consolidation for purposes that require the will of the people. The change of power is an imperative requirement."
