The statements addressed by France and the USA have yielded results, said political scientist Armen Vardanyan in a conversation with Radar Armenia, referring to the words of French President Emmanuel Macron during the meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
He says, "The impression is that the phone calls to Ilham Aliyev at the highest level by the authorities of France and the USA have yielded results."
The political scientist noted that at this stage, when Russia is fully involved in the Ukrainian war and does not fulfill its alliance obligations toward Armenia, Armenia must try to cooperate with other geopolitical power centers to curb Azerbaijan's aggressive ambitions and encroachments on Armenia's borders.
Vardanyan noted that cooperation with France and the United States is essential. According to him, the two countries' precise and targeted statements show that Azerbaijan started aggression against Armenia. France and the USA are putting severe pressure on Azerbaijan through diplomatic means.
To remind you, yesterday, the President of France, Emmanuel Macron, announced during the meeting with Nikol Pashinyan that France demands the Azerbaijani forces return to their starting positions. He also announced his intention to have a telephone conversation with Aliyev.
