"For some, the homeland is a place to get rich in dubious ways." Vigen Khachatryan
In a conversation with Radar Armenia, NA "Civil Contract" faction deputy Vigen Khachatryan refers to the statements of parliamentary opposition figures that yesterday the first president of RA Levon Ter-Petrosyan was talking about a new capitulation, remarked: "That is probably their wish."
According to Khachatryan, the oppositionists are guided by the "the worse, the better" principle. "Their goal is the chair. They are not interested in any other questions. For some, the homeland is a place to get rich in dubious ways."
Referring to the meeting of the former presidents of RA and NKR, the deputy said that he does not understand the meaning of the meeting with Levon Ter-Petrosyan and other former presidents. "The first president of RA knows them very well."
Vigen Khachatryan said that the purpose of the meeting of the former presidents is to dialogue with united forces and to find a way out of the existing situation.
To recall, the first president Levon Ter-Petrosyan presented the details of the meeting of the former presidents of Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh at the Catholicos of All Armenians on Public TV yesterday, noting that he proposed to make a joint statement that "the main issue of the day is the establishment of national unity and establishing a constructive dialogue between the government and the opposition."
