The CSTO mission will study the border regions and carry out monitoring

CSTO Secretary General Stanislav Zas, who arrived in Armenia, met with Security Council Secretary Armen Grigoryan.

The situation in the region and possible future measures of the CSTO in the current situation was discussed.

The CSTO mission arrived in the Republic of Armenia by the decision of the CSTO Collective Security Council's extraordinary session on September 13.

The mission is assigned the task of assessing the current situation, preparing a detailed report on the situation in the region to the leaders of the CSTO member states, and developing proposals for de-escalation of tension in some parts of the border.

During the work of the mission, research and monitoring of the existing situation in the border regions, as well as meetings with the highest political and military leadership of the Republic of Armenia, are planned.
