On September 19, within the framework of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly, a meeting between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Jeihun Bayramov was held with the mediation of US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.
During the meeting, Ararat Mirzoyan emphasized that the Azerbaijani armed forces must be withdrawn from the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia, the use of power or the threat of force is unacceptable, and international mechanisms must be introduced to prevent further escalations. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia emphasized the importance of the early settlement of humanitarian issues, including the repatriation of prisoners of war.
Minister Mirzoyan reaffirmed the readiness of the Armenian side to be involved in the process of comprehensive regulation of relations.
