Russian President Vladimir Putin announced during the press conference held at the end of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization conference that thanks to Russia's efforts, it became possible to localize the escalation of the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict.
"The incident that happened on the border of Armenia and Azerbaijan has nothing to do with Karabakh; it was in another part of the border," said the Russian President and added that Russia is sorry for the victims of the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
