Moscow hopes that at the next session of the Russia-Azerbaijan-Armenia working group, it will be possible to reach a package agreement on the construction of roads, emphasizing the launch of rail and road communication between Azerbaijan and Armenia, with a potential exit to neighboring countries. "And the new road through Lachin Corridor (connecting Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh) will start working from April 1," announced Denis Gonchar, Director of the CIS Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry. According to him, since August 30, the traffic has been temporarily going through the Lachin bypass.
"It is of fundamental importance that the mode of operation of the Lachin Corridor will not change. Russian peacekeepers have moved to a temporary road, and on April 1, 2023, they will cross a new route," said Gonchar.
