Radar Armenia talked to political scientist Ruben Mehrabyan, a member of the "Hanun Hanrapetutyan" party, about internal political issues.
- Member of the National Assembly "Hayastan" faction Ishkhan Saghatelyan did not rule out nominating Robert Kocharyan for the post of Prime Minister. How would you interpret that circumstance expected?
- Prince Saghatelyan, besides his boss, who will he propose? Nothing is surprising here. The opposite would be unexpected if they nominated another person.
- For a long time, the "Dimadrudyan" movement tried to avoid this issue; why are they talking about it now?
- This fits into the logic of the situation within that movement. This one wing crystallizes its interests more and passes, so to speak, to the stage of giving names. This is happening and can be observed not in the general internal political logic but their intra-party or inter-party processes.
- The autumn session of the National Assembly will start on Monday. The parliamentary opposition announced that they would not return to the parliament. Do they have a chance to return to the parliament, that is, how will society perceive their entry into the NA?
- Public perception is the last thing they are interested in because, otherwise, they would not have done everything they did during the past year or more; they would not have done what they did from April to July. And they will not be guided in their decisions by society's perceptions.
- The parliamentary opposition is discussing ways to remove Nikol Pashinyan from power, one of which is to start the impeachment process. Do you consider it realistic that the opposition will be able to implement it?
- I think we are dealing with another failed attempt at slogan politics because all these desires face a reality that they will not be satisfied with the votes. In addition, it will not be possible to mobilize public pressure because they do not have a public with them.
