RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan presented details of the tripartite meeting in Brussels yesterday. "The discussion in Brussels was extensive, it was not easy, but I also want to record that our objectives are and will be what I have announced."
Pashinyan stressed that the RA government had adopted the peace plan. "Here, also a determination is needed to implement this plan. We must all understand that it is not easy, and the possible solutions are not obvious either.
According to him, consistent work should be continued. "It is necessary, and the people desire a lasting and comprehensive peace to be established in our region."
Pashinyan said that we should focus more on solving this problem.
On August 31, the meeting of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev took place in Brussels, with the mediation of EU Council President Charles Michel.
Issues related to releasing prisoners and clarifying the fate of the missing, border demarcation and border security, regional de-blockade, the regulation of Armenia-Azerbaijan relations, and the Nagorno Karabakh problem were discussed.
An agreement was reached to continue substantive negotiations at the level of foreign ministers on drafting the peace treaty. The meeting of foreign ministers will take place within a month. The next meeting of the Committee on Demarcation and Border Security will occur in Brussels in November.
