Today marks the 30th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Armenia and India. Radar Armenia presents the ambassadors of Armenia represented in India since the establishment of diplomatic ties, the first official visit, and the first document signed.
Diplomatic relations between Armenia and India were established on August 31, 1992. After independence, the first official visit to India took place in 1995. President Levon Ter-Petrosyan visited the country, then, already in 1996, the delegation led by NA Speaker Babken Ararktsyan visited that country.
The first signed document was the agreement on trade and economic cooperation between the governments of Armenia and India on March 11, 1993.
Until now, Armenia has had five ambassadors in India.
