Gaining broad support for the opposition depends on the way the government works

Vigen Khachatryan, deputy of the "Civil Agreement" faction of the National Assembly, considers the opinions expressed by the opposition "Hayastan" faction deputy Ishkhan Saghatelyan in yesterday's interview to be frivolous.

The ruling MP says that they have not objectively perceived or do not want to perceive the mission that the opposition should have in the parliament. "What they are doing is revanchism. They aim to return specific customs to Armenia, which our people have tired and abandoned."

According to Vigen Khachatryan, the rest are manipulative manifestations and hardly do any meaningful action. "Their goal is not to offer solutions to existing problems, but to seize the state machine again."

Khachatryan believes that the thinning of the ranks of the opposition, and the increase in the wave of popular struggle, which, according to the oppositionists, should lead to the resignation of RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan or the start of the impeachment process, depends on the actions of the government. "If the government consistently, which I believe will be the case, implements the plans and goals for which it received a vote of public confidence, it is natural that they will not receive wide support. In that sense, a lot depends on how the government works."
