The relations between Armenia and Georgia are not only an example of brotherhood and friendship but also a prerequisite for the well-being, security, stability, and development of the entire region. Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Gharibashvili said this in his speech at the opening ceremony of the "Friendship" bridge.
"The "Friendship" bridge, which we built together, embodies the success of our cooperation and friendship. A 160-meter-long four-lane bridge, jointly built on the territory of two states, with modern standards and measures, is a rare project in the region," Gharibashvili said.
According to the Prime Minister of Georgia, the bridge will not only be helpful for the citizens and guests of Armenia and Georgia, but it will acquire strategic importance as a significant part of the East-West international road.
