The Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia sent a telegram of condolence to Prime Minister Pashinyan

Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill the First sent a telegram of condolence to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan regarding the explosion in Yerevan's "Surmalu" shopping center.

"It was with great sadness that I received the news about the tragedy in the shopping center of Yerevan. Many people died and were injured due to the fire and the collapse of the building.

I deeply sympathize with the fraternal people of Armenia and please convey my words of condolence to all those who were touched by that terrible misfortune, especially those who lost their relatives and friends. I want to assure you that the Russian Orthodox Church, in the form of the clergy, and the Yerevan-Armenian Diocese, in the form of the followers, are ready to provide moral support to all those who need it.

May the philanthropic God receive the souls of the deceased with mercy, comfort the bereaved and grant the injured a speedy recovery."
