In a conversation with Radar Armenia, Ani Khachatryan, a member of the "Luys" faction of the Yerevan Council of Elders, referred to the comments on social networks regarding the visit of former RA Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan to the collapse zone of "Surmalu" yesterday, said that she does not consider the visit a campaign. She added that according to the same rationale, her visit to the "Surmalu" shopping center should also be considered a campaign.
"One day ago, I was there. My presence could be considered a campaign because I represent another political force, which has announced that it will participate in the upcoming mayoral elections. I repeat once again that I do not consider that visit as a campaign," emphasizes Ani Khachatryan.
The Yerevan Council of Elders member notes that many RA citizens were present at the scene these days, and such qualifications are unacceptable.
Touching upon the problem when a question is asked, there is already an answer to that question; Ani Khachatryan said, journalists always like to get the answer in the way they expect. "I think Avinyan, under the pressure of journalists' questions, tried to find out what to name and why he visited the incident scene." According to Khachatryan, being at the place of the explosion was not an option for advertising because there were many people in the area. Therefore, no one has a problem justifying why they visited.
