Nagorno-Karabakh

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Artsakh presented the catastrophic situation in Nagorno-Karabakh to the Mayor of Paris

On August 30, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Artsakh Sergey Ghazaryan met in Kornidzor with the mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo, and the delegation led by her, who arrived in Armenia to accompany the humanitarian cargo sent from France to Artsakh and assess the situation on the ground. The panel included leaders and mayors of several regions of France and representatives of local self-government bodies.

During the meeting, Sergey Ghazaryan, represented by Anne Hidalgo, expressed his deep gratitude to the people of France for taking active steps to support the people of Artsakh, who have been under siege for almost 9 months, and for consistently speaking out at various levels about the humanitarian crisis created in Artsakh as a result of Azerbaijan's illegal actions.

"It is noteworthy that French politicians with different, sometimes opposing, political views have adopted a united position on the issue of supporting the people of Artsakh," Minister Ghazaryan emphasized.

The head of the foreign department of the Republic of Artsakh presented the disastrous situation in various fields in Artsakh due to the blockade and the work aimed at solving it.

Sergey Ghazaryan highlighted the importance of a clear political and legal assessment of the genocidal actions of Azerbaijan by the international community and the use of appropriate tools, including individual sanctions, which will prevent the impending tragic developments in Artsakh.

The parties discussed several issues related to further cooperation.
