Commenting on Azerbaijan's proposal to open a road through Aghdam, Artsakh Foreign Minister Sergey Ghazaryan stated, "The option that the Azerbaijani side is trying to impose is unacceptable, and you can see how our compatriots reacted to it.
The authority must discuss all kinds of proposals from mediators and other interested parties. The important thing is that these proposals are reasonable. Azerbaijan violates the obligations assumed by the November 9 document, even if it has the signature of the President of Azerbaijan. No step has shown that Azerbaijan fulfills its obligations."
Referring to the statement of Hikmet Hajiyev, assistant to the president of Azerbaijan, that if the road through Aghdam is opened, the Lachin corridor will also be extended, "During this time, we have heard many assurances, unfortunately none of them are true. The Artsakh side is the most interested in trying to find mutually acceptable solutions to even the most difficult issues through peaceful negotiations, but the Azerbaijani side avoids this. Through the Russian peacekeepers, we regularly send proposals about meetings, but the Azerbaijani side simply does not agree."
