On August 21, the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan spread another false message that, between 10:15 a.m. and 10:23 a.m. on August 21, the relevant units of the Ministry of Defense suppressed the GPS of a civil aircraft flying on the Fizuli-Baku route—the positioning system.
The statement of the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan, which has nothing to do with reality, cannot withstand professional examination. As we have mentioned before, the aircraft flying on the said route does not cross the air borders of the United States. By periodically spreading such false statements, Azerbaijan aims to divert the attention of the international community from the humanitarian disaster that is deepening day by day as a result of the illegal blockade of the Lachin Corridor.
It is not superfluous to remind again that in 2020 during and after the hostilities, it was the Azerbaijani side that consistently targeted the civilian infrastructure of the Republic of Artsakh, blocking the Lachin Corridor, disrupting gas and electricity supply lines, and suppressing access to the Internet and mobile communications.
