In the last international meetings and talks, the authorities of Azerbaijan announced that the Armenians blocked the Askeran-Aghdam road and installed concrete barriers. Radar Armenia turned to Artsakh's state minister for comments.

The response of the State Minister's office states that the Askeran-Aghdam road has been closed since November 2020.

"On the side of the army, a police checkpoint of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan was set up for security reasons, to exclude the accidental passage of people, then the road was closed by the Russian peacekeeping forces, and then also by the Azerbaijani armed forces. Support is placed on the road. Concrete barriers were placed in the administrative area of Askeran until we reached the police station. Moreover, by placing a concrete wall there, traffic on the road was not blocked; it was done by the people only as a sign of protest and as an assurance that alternative solutions and humanitarian ways cannot replace the road connecting Artsakh to Armenia cannot be forced on people, in response.
