11 patients from Artsakh were transferred to RA specialized medical centers under the escort of the Red Cross

Today, on August 8, 11 medical patients from the "Republican Medical Center" CJSC of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Artsakh were transferred to RA specialized medical centers with the mediation and accompaniment of the Artsakh office of the International Committee of the Red Cross to receive urgent specialized medical care, after an 11-day complete blockade.

9 of the mentioned patients are receiving scheduled hemodialysis. Still, due to the lack of medicines and medical supplies, they cannot accept the necessary medical care and face the risk of death, and the other 2 patients are in serious condition due to cancer.

During the day, it is planned to return 9 medical patients, along with their companions, to Artsakh by ICRC vehicles, who were once referred to Armenia for treatment within the framework of the state order.

The Azerbaijani side continuously prohibits the delivery of much-needed medicines and medical supplies to Artsakh by Red Cross vehicles, and many medical patients are still waiting to be transported to the Republic of Armenia and back to Artsakh.

Currently, 30 children are receiving inpatient treatment in the "Arevik" medical center; 8 are in the neonatal and intensive care unit. At "Republican Medical Center" CJSC, 80 patients receive inpatient treatment, 8 are in the intensive care unit, and 4 are in critical condition.
