A criminal case has been initiated regarding the kidnapping of Rashid Beglaryan by Azerbaijani service members.; Artsakh Prosecutor's Office
On August 1, 2023, at around 17:00, Rashid Aramaisi Beglaryan, a resident of Khndzristan village, Askeran district, AH, on foot from Hin Shen village, Shushi district, to the Hakari bridge of the Lachin Corridor connecting the Republic of Nagorno-Karabakh and the Republic of Armenia by the Republic of Azerbaijan on November 9, 2020, Bypassing the control-passport checkpoint set up in violation of the requirements of point 6 of the tripartite declaration, on the way to RA, by unknown service members of the Republic of Azerbaijan according to nationality, Against R. Beglaryan's will, he was secretly abducted with violence, which was followed by his disappearance.
Regarding the described incident on 02.08.2023 a criminal case was initiated under Article 418 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Artsakh/Crimes against the security of humanity/.
The supervision over the legality of the pre-trial criminal proceedings of the case and the judicial management are carried out by the prosecutor's office of Shushi and Kashatagh regions.
