Artsakh State Minister Gurgen Nersisyan wrote on his Facebook page:
"After the establishment of a checkpoint by Azerbaijan on the border with the Republic of Armenia on the highway connecting Artsakh to Armenia, the residents of Yeghtsahogh, Hin Shen, Mets Shen, and Lisagor communities of the Shushi region of the Republic of Artsakh remained in a complete blockade; they were cut off from both Stepanakert and the opportunity to leave for the Republic of Armenia.
I am personally in contact with the Shushi district administration and community leaders; the latter has already presented the problems that may arise in the coming days if the blockade continues.
Before Azerbaijan set up a checkpoint and closed the road in that area, three minor children from the Mets Shen community, one of them three years old, left for the city of Goris, and now they cannot return to their parents. There is a similar situation in the Lisagor community: several community residents have remained in the Republic of Armenia.
To organize the movement of emergency vehicles from the mentioned communities to the Republic of Armenia and the return of our citizens, I have appealed to the Russian peacekeeping forces, in connection with which specific steps will be taken tomorrow, and, I hope, we will have solutions to these and other problems."
